Occupational dermatitis — wet work and cleaning products

Hands wet for long stretches (dishwashing, food prep, frequent hand-washing) and repeated contact with cleaning products and some foods can bring on irritant or contact dermatitis — dryness, redness, cracking, itch. It builds gradually rather than announcing itself, and once it's chronic it's hard to shift. This is the slow skin-disease side, separate from the acute chemical splash covered under cleaning chemicals.
